What is in a word

As the semester finishes up and I look up words to get a better understanding of my readings, I came across this gem. I find it interesting that the word of the year is misinformation - it speaks a lot to online culture especially in a Trump era world of fake news. How can we tell what is misinformation and disinformation? How can we tell what's intentional and what is not?
